VMC GP12

The VMC GP12 (12-inch wheel platform) is a dedicated track weapon engineered specifically for Mini GP racing, kart track training, and serious asphalt riding. Positioned as the flagship model in the VMC Mini GP lineup, it combines purpose-built chassis dynamics with flexible high-performance powertrain options to bridge the gap between pit bike track riding and full-size road racing.

Core Specifications & Frame Architecture

  • Chassis: Chromoly (CrMo) steel trellis frame engineered for optimal flex, feedback, and high-speed cornering stability.

  • Swingarm: Lightweight, rigid aluminum alloy rear swingarm for precise power delivery and traction control.

  • Wheel Base & Ergonomics: ~115 cm wheelbase with a 63–70 cm seat height, providing an aggressive, true-to-life sportbike body position suited for both junior racers and adult riders.

  • Dry Weight: Lightweight setup at approximately 60 kg – 72 kg depending on full race trim and accessories.

Engine & Drivetrain Configurations

The GP12 platform is built to accommodate multiple engine classes depending on competition rules or rider experience levels:

  1. Daytona Anima 190cc (4-Valve): The range-topping setup delivering ~24 hp through a 4-speed manual gearbox for maximum top speed and aggressive acceleration.

  2. GPX / Zongshen 190cc: High-output 4-stroke horizontal engine with oil cooling, popular for competitive open-class Mini GP track events.

  3. YX 160cc: Smooth, durable 4-stroke oil-cooled engine tailored for training, track days, or stock-class racing.

Suspension, Braking & Track Features

  • Front Suspension: Fully adjustable inverted hydraulic front forks (or optional upgraded cartridges) built for heavy trail-braking and high front-end feel.

  • Rear Suspension: DNM adjustable rear shock absorber featuring multi-stage compression and rebound damping.

  • Brakes: Radial-mount hydraulic front pump and multi-piston caliper acting on lightweight drilled steel rotors for single-finger stopping power.

  • Wheels & Rubber: 12-inch lightweight alloy racing wheels paired with slick track tires (such as CST CM-SR, KingTyre, or PMT).
